• Prepare the Tooth: Begin by cleaning and drying the tooth surface where the bracket will be placed. Ensure the tooth is free from any debris or moisture.
• Isolate the Tooth: Use a rubber dam or cotton rolls to isolate the tooth, keeping the surrounding area dry during the bonding process.
• Etch the Tooth: Apply an etchant (typically phosphoric acid) to the enamel surface of the tooth. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the recommended etching time.
• Rinse and Dry: Rinse off the etchant with water and dry the tooth thoroughly with an air syringe. Ensure there is no moisture remaining on the tooth surface.
• Apply Primer: Apply a bonding primer to the etched tooth surface. This primer enhances the bond strength between the tooth and the adhesive.
• Apply Adhesive: Dispense a small amount of orthodontic adhesive onto the base of the bracket. Carefully place the bracket onto the tooth, ensuring proper alignment with the desired orientation.
