Direction to Use
Preparation:
- Ensure the retractor is clean and sterilized before use.
- Prepare the patient for the procedure.
Placement:
- Hold the retractor with the extraoral extensions facing outward.
- Gently insert the intraoral extensions between the teeth and cheek.
Positioning:
- Adjust the retractor to ensure optimal retraction of the buccal corridor fibers.
- Ensure the patient can comfortably bite in Maximum Intercuspation (MIP).
Procedure:
- Proceed with the dental procedure, maintaining the retractor in place.
Removal:
- After the procedure is complete, carefully remove the retractor by gently pulling the extraoral extensions.
Cleaning and Sterilization:
- Clean the retractor thoroughly using appropriate disinfectants.
- Autoclave the retractor for sterilization, following standard protocols.
Storage:
- Store the retractor in a clean, dry place until next use.
