Ethicon Endosurgery Linear cutter is an open linear cutter with the innovative 6 row 3D staple technology which has angled parallel legs to increase the area of tissue compression
The innovative 3 surgical staple technology is designed for more uniform tissue compression to reduce the risk of leaks or bleeding through the staple line
These linear cutters are meant for use in open procedures
This has selectable closed staple height of 1.5 mm (regular tissue)/1.8 mm (regular/thick tissue) & 2.0 mm (thick tissues) which is enabled through the stapled height selector
The open staple height is 4.4 mm
The linear cutter has a safety lock out feature which prevents firing of an unloaded device & also prevents the firing of a used cartridge
This has a non slip grip surface which provides improved control of the device
The device is available in two shaft lengths of 55 mm & 75 mm which have corresponding reloads
