Description

Gingival marginal trimmer features a curved blade and primary cutting edge is at an angle, which differentiate it from hatchet.It is used for rounding or bevelling of the axiopulpal line angle on class II amalgam cavity preparation.

Gingival marginal trimmers are available in 2 pairs – mesial pair( right and left) and distal pair ( right and left).

Mesial GMT- sharp edge points towards handle.

Distal GMT – sharp edge points away from the handle.
