The Dentsply Spectrum restorative is a visibleight activated, radiopaque microybrid composite for anterior and posterior restorations
The composite is delivered in traditional syringes and is available in a selection of precise VITA 1 shades
The composite create lifelike restorations with as little as one single shade: the chameleon effect of Spectrum helps to obtain outstanding colour reproduction while the enamelike lustre mimics that of the natural tooth
Spectrum demonstrates high wear resistance and superior durability against fracture, resulting in longasting aesthetic restorations
Ergonomically designed this composite is creamy and nonticky
Indications:
Restorations of all cavity classes in anterior and posterior teeth
Contraindication:
Use with patients who have a history of severe allergic reaction to methacrylate resins or any of the other components
Directions to USe:
strong> Shade Selection: Shade selection should be made prior to the restorative procedure while the teeth are hydrated
Cavity preparation: Clean the tooth surface with a fluoride free prophylaxis paste., Prepare cavity (unless not necessary, e.g. cervical lesion)., Use adequate isolation such as rubber dam. Do not desiccate the tooth structure.
Pulp protection, tooth conditioning/dentin prereatment, adhesive application. Once the surfaces have been properly treated, they must be kept uncontaminated. Proceed immediately to placement of the material.
strong> Application: Apply material in increments immediately after the application of the adhesive. The material is designed to be cured in increments up to a 3 mm depth/thickness. Protect the restorative material on the mixing pad against light.
Light Curing: Light cure each area of the restoration surface with a suitable curing light. Minimum light output must be at least 500 mW/cm. Refer to curing light manufacturer Instructions for Use for compatibility and curing recommendations., Cure each layer accordingly to the mentioned amount of time.
Finishing & Polishing: Contour the restoration using finishing burs or diamonds., Use Enhance finishing devices for additional finishing., Prior to polishing, check that surface is smooth and free of defects.
