It is braided for easy handling and secure knot tying. The suture is coated with wax to give hand to the suture. It does not become limp or brittle. The suture is naturally produced from cocoons of the silkworms Bombyx Mori. It is non-absorbable and Provides prolonged tensile strength retention in tissue for up to 3 months.
