LMA Proseal Airway Introducer

The LMA Proseal Airway Introducer is used to aid insertion of the LMA ProSeal Airway, where it is desirable to avoid placing the finger in the patient’s mouth
The proseal lma is shaped to facilitate easy insertion
The tool is malleable, hence the introducer is supplied in the recommended curvature for immediate use and can be bent to any desired shape
The introducer should be removed prior to inflation and fixation of the LMA ProSeal
It may be possible to reduce or eliminate head and neck manipulation while using the introducer
The introducer should be cleaned and sterilised in the same manner as the LMA Proseal
