Description
Protec Pit & Fissure Sealant is a light-cured composite sealant with exceptional features for various dental applications. With its thixotropic and low-viscosity properties, the sealant easily flows into occlusal grooves during placement but remains stable, preventing unwanted run-offs. Its 58% filling ensures minimal polymerization shrinkage, delivering superior retention and wear resistance compared to competitors. Additionally, the sealant releases fluoride, offering anti-caries benefits along restoration margins. Its unique syringe applicator provides precise control and ease of use, making it ideal for hard-to-reach areas. Furthermore, the radiopaque nature of the sealant makes it visible on X-rays, facilitating proper placement and monitoring of the restoration.

Direction to Use
- Ensure proper isolation and moisture control for the tooth being treated.
- Clean the tooth surface thoroughly, removing any debris or plaque.
- Etch the enamel with an appropriate dental etchant, and follow standard dental etching procedures.
- Rinse off the etchant and dry the tooth surface, leaving it slightly moist.
- Load the Protec Pit & Fissure Sealant into the syringe applicator.
- Apply the sealant into the occlusal grooves and fissures, using gentle pressure to ensure complete coverage.
- Use a curing light with the appropriate wavelength and power to cure the sealant, following the recommended curing time.
- Check for any voids or inadequately covered areas and reapply if necessary.
- After the curing process is complete, evaluate the restoration’s integrity and ensure proper occlusion.
- Advise the patient to avoid chewing on hard or sticky foods for a short period to allow the sealant to be fully set.
