MRC has pioneered the use of appliances to correct myofunctional habits in growing children and has proven success in orthodontic correction without braces. This treatment can also lead to better facial development in growing children. The key to this treatment is correcting the position and function of the tongue, obtaining correct nose breathing and retraining the oral muscles to function correctly.

Myobrace for Kids is a three-stage appliance system designed specifically to correct poor oral habits while treating upper and lower jaw development problems. Myobrace for Kids is most effective after a child permanent front teeth have come through and before all the permanent teeth have erupted.

Myobrace appliances effectively train the tongue to position correctly in the upper jaw, retrain oral musculature and exert light forces to align the teeth.

Myobrace – K1

The K1 is made of flexible silicone to adapt to any arch-form and poorly-aligned teeth. It focuses on establishing nasal breathing and myofunctional habit correction. It is soft and flexible which gives the best compliance, adapts to any arch-form and malocclusion, and optimizes staying in place at night.

Myobrace K2

The K2 focuses on arch development andcontinuing habit correction. It features aDynamiCore which assists in developing theupper and lower arch form, allowing more roomto establish the correct tongue resting positionand correct swallowing patterns.
