The occlusal fissureof this molar looks suspiciousfor a carious lesion because of subsurface staining and decalcification; butthe explorer does not tick indicating alesion, and there is no x-ray evidence of such. However, radiographs do not detect allocclusal lesions.Enamel thickness can bedeceptive.
