Description
For use with customized take-home whitening trays, Opalescence PF offers many options for patients. With its easy syringe delivery, Opalescence PF is easily customizable for each patient individual situation. The gel contains 20% water to prevent dehydration, and the sticky, viscous formula helps keep the gel and tray in place. With four concentrations and three flavors, patients can completely customize their whitening experience.

Opalescence is recommended for whitening discolored teeth prior to placement of composite, veneers, and/or crowns. It is effective in removing some or all internal tooth discolorations due to congenital, systemic, pharmacologic, traumatic, etc., factors as well as aging. It is even successful at resolving staining from fluorosis and tetraycline.6,7

Direction to Use
STEP 1:Express one continuous bead of gel approximately halfway up the facial side of the tray from molar to molar. This should use about 1/2 to 1/3 of a syringe per tray.
STEP 2:Insert the tray in your mouth and lightly tap it to adapt the sides to your teeth. Wear time depends on which concentration of Opalescence you use.
- Opalescence PF 10%: 80 hours or overnight
- Opalescence PF 15%: 4 hours
- Opalescence PF 20%: 2 hours
- Opalescence PF 35%: 30 minutes
If you experience any significant sensitivity, stop your treatment and talk to your dentist.
STEP 3:Remove tray and use a finger or soft toothbrush to clean any excess gel off your teeth. Rinse your mouth twice being sure not to swallow rinsed gel.
STEP 4 :Clean tray with soft brush and cool tap water. Store tray in the case that came with your kit
