Direction to Use
Preparation:
- Ensure a clean and dry working environment.
- Gather all necessary dental instruments, including the Calcimol LC syringe, suitable mixing pad, and a light-curing device (blue light).
Patient Preparation:
- Evaluate the patient’s dental condition and determine the appropriate treatment, considering the indications for indirect pulp capping or cavity lining.
Contraindication Check:
- Confirm that the patient does not have known allergies to methacrylates, BHT, or amines, as these ingredients are present in Calcimol LC.
Cavity Preparation:
- Ensure that the tooth surfaces are perfectly dry to prevent contamination.
Syringe Application:
- Ensure the plunger of the syringe is not retracted during or after use to maintain proper functioning.
- Dispense the required amount of Calcimol LC from the syringe onto a suitable mixing pad.
Layering (if necessary):
- For cavity linings with a thickness exceeding 1 mm, build up in layers.
- Cure each layer using a blue light for at least 20 seconds.
Adhesive Use (if needed):
- If enhanced adhesion is required for adhesive restorative treatments, follow the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions for use before applying Calcimol LC.
Excess Material Removal:
- Carefully remove any excess material before light-curing, using suitable tools.
- Avoid removing polymerized excess material with a probe.
