Preparing the Handpiece:

• Ensure secure insertion to prevent any wobbling during use.

Connecting to the Low-Speed Handpiece System:

• Connect the contra-angle handpiece to the low-speed handpiece system securely.

Adjusting Speed and Direction:

• Set the desired speed on the low-speed handpiece system.
• Confirm the correct direction (clockwise or counterclockwise) for the specific procedure.

Patient and Operator Safety:

• Ensure the patient is comfortable and properly positioned.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and masks.
• Communicate clearly with the patient during the procedure.

Performing the Procedure:

• Follow standard dental procedures based on the specific indication (cavity preparation, post, and core, polishing, etc.).
• Utilize the contra-angle handpiece to access hard-to-reach areas with precision.
• Maintain proper handpiece angulation and pressure during the procedure.

Post-Procedure:

• After the procedure, detach the contra-angle handpiece from the low-speed system.
• Thoroughly clean and sterilize the handpiece following guidelines.
• Store the handpiece in a designated, clean area.

Maintenance:
