V notch stop orthodontic pliers, also called V bend stop pliers, are ideal for putting a precise v bend or v notch on archwires. This prevents sliding and can prevent wires from disengaging from the buccal tubeand is also useful in shortening wires.

Most V bend stop pliers work on round, square and rectangular nickel titanium wires.
