  • Description

These Crown remover pliers are designed to remove the temporary crowns. Since these temporary crowns are mostly made of plastic or aluminum and bonded with the temporary cement, these can be removed gently with these pliers. The working tips havesoft silicone pads. The pads grip the crowns. These soft pads exert equal pressure on both sides of the crown and dislodge it with a gentle movement. It is an ideal tool to remove temporary banded crowns.

    NOTE:

If the crown is bonded too strongly, do not use these pliers otherwise the underlying tooth can break or will become mobile.

    Key Specifications

    • Made up of Stainless Steel
    • Purpose – To remove temporary crowns
    • Packaging

    • 1 x Plier
    • 2 x Extra soft pairs of the silicone pad
    • Direction of use

      • The pliers have a locking screw to allow better working. It is recommended to first hold the crown gently with the pliers and engage the locking screw to that position.
      • Then unscrew the locking screw to half a turn or less to engage the crown. The locking screw allows a controlled grip on the crown and then buccal and lingual forces can be applied alternatively to disengage the crown.
      • FAQs

Q.How do you unscrew a temporary crown?
A.Use a special type of dental pliers to gently grasp the temporary crown, and then wiggle it back and forth to break the seal of the adhesive. Once the adhesive is released, the crown will pop off of your tooth. This procedure won’t cause you any pain or discomfort.

Q.Are temporary crowns easy to remove?
A.The process of removing a temporary crown is very straightforward. These crowns are made of a relatively pliable dental resin that’s easy to work with, and are attached using a weaker dental cement that is easy to remove.
