Direction to Use

Setup:

• Ensure the surgical unit is correctly connected to a power source with the appropriate voltage (100 – 130 V or 220 – 240 V) and frequency (50 – 60 Hz).
• Connect the handpiece to the unit using the specified cable length (1.8 m or 3.5 m).
• Set up the foot control for convenient operation.

Instrument Preparation:

• Insert the desired surgical instrument into the handpiece.
• If applicable, choose the appropriate power class or mode based on the surgical procedure.

Automatic Instrument Detection:

• Take advantage of the automatic instrument detection feature if available. The system should recognize the instrument and assign the correct power class.

Operating Modes:

• Select the operating mode that aligns with the surgical task. Modes may include “Power,” “Basic,” or “Smooth,” each offering specific performance characteristics.

Boost Function:

• Use the boost function if additional cutting force is required. This temporary 20% power increase can be activated as needed.

Illumination:

• Ensure proper illumination of the operating field with the LED ring. Adjust the lighting angle if necessary.

Cooling Mechanism:

• Take advantage of the efficient cooling system. The spray opening near the instrument’s working area helps maintain optimal operating temperatures.

Sterilization:

• After use, disconnect the handpiece, ensuring it is switched off, and follow the recommended sterilization procedures. Typically, the handpiece with LED socket and cable should be thermo washer disinfectable and sterilizable.

Adaptability:

• Explore the adaptability features, such as the surgeon’s ability to save preferred settings and the device’s ability to adapt to different surgical styles.

Patient Care:

• Leverage the minimally invasive capabilities to promote patient comfort, reduce pain, and support better healing outcomes.
