Direction to Use
Preparation:
- Ensure that the handpiece is clean and sterilized before use. Follow manufacturer guidelines for sterilization methods.
- Check that the bur (cutting tool) to be used is compatible with the handpiece and has the correct diameter (Ø 2.35 mm).
Inserting the Bur:
- Press the release button on the handpiece to open the chuck.
- Insert the bur into the chuck until it clicks into place.
- Release the button to secure the bur in the chuck.
Connecting to the Motor:
- Connect the contra-angle handpiece to the dental motor, ensuring a secure and proper fit.
Adjusting Speed:
- Set the desired speed on the dental motor according to the procedure requirements. The typical operating speed for these handpieces is around 40,000 min-1.
Procedure:
- Begin the dental procedure, using the contra-angle handpiece as needed for tooth preparation, polishing, or other tasks.
Changing Bur:
- If a different bur is needed during the procedure, press the release button to open the chuck, replace the bur, and secure it in place.
Post-Procedure:
- After completing the procedure, detach the contra-angle handpiece from the motor.
