Direction to Use

• Preparation: Ensure that the scaler is clean and properly sterilized before use. Attach the appropriate scaler tip securely to the handpiece.
• Patient Preparation: Inform the patient about the procedure and provide necessary protective measures, such as protective eyewear and a dental dam if required.
• Power On: Connect the scaler to a power source and turn it on.
• Select Mode and Power Level: Choose the desired mode and power level based on the specific treatment requirements. Start with a lower power setting and adjust as needed.
• Positioning: Hold the scaler handpiece with a comfortable grip and position the scaler tip at the treatment area, ensuring proper angulation and contact with the tooth surface.
• Scaling Technique: Use gentle, controlled strokes to remove plaque, calculus, or tartar from the tooth surface. Move the scaler tip in a sweeping motion, following the contour of the tooth and focusing on areas with buildup.
• Monitor and Adjust: Continuously assess the treatment area and adjust the power level, scaler tip angulation, and pressure as necessary for optimal results and patient comfort.
• Rinse and Suction: Use water or an appropriate irrigant during scaling to flush away debris. Utilize suction to remove excess water and debris from the oral cavity.
