Direction to Use
Preparing the Scaler:
- Ensure that the main unit is connected to a power source with the input voltage ranging from 100V to 240V~ 50Hz/60Hz.
- Make sure the water supply is connected to the scaler and the water pressure is within the range of 0.1bar to 5bar (0.01MPa to 0.5MPa).
Attaching the Handpiece:
- Take the detachable handpiece and insert it into the main unit until it clicks securely in place.
- Ensure that the handpiece is properly aligned and fully inserted.
Selecting the Operating Mode:
- The Woodpecker Inbuilt Scaler V2 offers three different operating modes: scaling, perio, and endo.
- Use the mode selector switch on the main unit to choose the desired mode for your specific procedure.
Adjusting the Power Output:
- The scaler allows you to adjust the power output according to your requirements.
- Use the power control knob on the main unit to increase or decrease the power level within the range of 3W to 20W.
Selecting the Tip:
- The handpiece is equipped with five different tips (3 S, 2 P) for various dental treatments.
- Choose the appropriate tip based on the procedure and gently insert it into the handpiece until it is securely in place.
Initiating the Procedure:
- Once all the preparations are complete, press the foot pedal to activate the scaler.
- Gradually bring the tip in contact with the tooth surface, applying the scaler’s vibrations to perform the desired treatment.
Monitoring and Adjusting:
- While using the scaler, monitor the patient’s comfort and adjust the power level and tip movement accordingly to ensure optimal results.
Sterilization:
- After each use, detach the handpiece from the main unit and sterilize it at a temperature of 135°C to maintain strict infection control measures.
