- 1 x Extraction Forcep
Direction to Use
- Prepare the patient: Ensure the patient is in a comfortable position and properly anesthetized to minimize any pain or discomfort during the extraction procedure.
- Select the appropriate forceps: Verify that the Fx1cp forceps are the correct size and design for the lower premolar tooth being extracted.
- Position the forceps: Hold the forceps in your dominant hand, ensuring a firm and comfortable grip. Align the beaks of the forceps with the tooth to be extracted, making sure they enclose the tooth crown.
- Apply controlled pressure: Gently apply controlled pressure with the forceps to grip the tooth securely. Be cautious not to apply excessive force to prevent trauma to the surrounding tissues.
- Loosen the tooth: Using a rocking or rotational motion, gradually loosen the tooth from its socket. Apply gentle movements to avoid unnecessary trauma or damage to the surrounding area.
- Extract the tooth: Once the tooth is sufficiently loosened, carefully lift and remove it from the socket using the forceps. Ensure a smooth and steady extraction, maintaining control throughout the process.
- Inspect and clean: After the extraction, inspect the extracted tooth and the extraction site for any remaining fragments or debris. Clean the area thoroughly to promote proper healing.
- Provide post-extraction instructions: Give the patient post-extraction care instructions, including information on oral hygiene, pain management, and any necessary follow-up appointments.
